zeynep is a bodrum based self portrait artist and photographer with a background rooted in art history, the subject they studied passionately at university.​ after their studies, zeynep found their way into the world of dance, where they have spent over a decade teaching and performing pole dance; a powerful art form that blends strength, sensuality, and self expression.

 

at the end of 2018, they started modelling, and the embracing nature of nude modelling captivated them. the way of existing purely and freely in their body felt like an unfiltered form of self expression; one that defied societal expectations and embraced vulnerability as a strength.

this experience profoundly shaped their artistic journey, deepening their connection to their own image and paving the way for their evolution into a self portrait artist.

in 2022, they entered the NFT space as a model, but it wasn’t long before they turned the lens on themselves, creating self portraits that became a transformative and deeply personal practice. through this medium, zeynep discovered the liberating power of reclaiming their image and rewriting their narrative. each self portrait became an act of empowerment and advocacy, celebrating the raw beauty of vulnerability and the inherent strength of authenticity.

as a self portraitist zeynep’s work is rooted in the philosophy that the human body is our sole possession; our truest and most personal form of identity. they view nude art as a powerful declaration of freedom, challenging societal expectations and breaking down stigmas surrounding the body. for zeynep, every image states for a story of ownership, self-acceptance and authenticity.
